Organic monitor is holding a series of Sustainable Cosmetics Summits. The aim of the summit is to encourage sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stake-holders and debate these major issues in a high-level forum.

NATRUE supports these summits because they really make a difference. The last summit in New York last May clearly showed that consumers want authentic products and it was a great chance to network on sustainability issues. The next summit takes place in Paris on 18-20th of October 2010 and NATRUE will be present again.
This new edition will look at the various ways in which beauty companies can reduce their social and environmental impacts. It comprises a 2-day conference including a 'Practical Guide to Sustainable Packaging', followed by an interactive workshop on preservative-free cosmetics. With a growing number of cosmetics companies looking to move away from synthetic preservative systems, this workshop looks at the various options available and how they compare to conventional systems.
