The first week of November, on the eve of this year’s Vision Summit, NaTrue co-organised a conference entitled 'Verantwortung Jetzt' (Responsibility Now). It brought together pioneers of sustainable and social business with organisations and companies that are keen to build truly sustainable foundations.

The discussions featured many examples of how economic, social and environmental sustainability go hand in hand. Pioneers of Natural Cosmetics showed how organic agriculture and good social standards make winners out of everyone – the environment, the company, its suppliers as well as the consumer because natural ingredients and motivated cultivators are a direct contribution to product quality.

How can we contribute to a sustainable future? The knowledge is there. Now is the time to make it happen. This was the objective but also a lesson of the conference. The contacts established between the roughly 120 participants are intended as a first step to lasting relationships. Watch this space for concrete action resulting from the conference. Already available on the conference website are video testimonials from people that attended the Conference and/or Vision Summit, people who are making a difference today. They include Annie Lenox and the Nobel Peace Laureates Mohammad Yunus and Mairead Corrigan-Maguire.
