US / EUROPE: Fast track recognition for organic certification

Producers of Organic Cosmetics will in future have a fast track system for certification with the NSF and NaTrue labels. This means that manufacturers of Organic Cosmetic do not have to go through two lengthy certification procedures.

QAI and NaTrue will develop a guidance document to identify the differences (gap analysis) between the two standards. This will also provide a blue print for manufacturers on how to demonstrate compliance with both standards.

The initiative will:

• Create important cost-savings and time-savings for manufacturers.
• Consolidate two certification processes into one.
• Provide a much-needed consumer orientation between “like” standards (across border).
