NATRUE

How to certify?
Firstly, we invite you to read carefully the information below so that you can have a comprehensive overview of the necessary requirements to obtain the NATRUE Label.

Required steps

  • Read and understand the NATRUE Criteria to internally assess how to formulate your raw materials according to the NATRUE standard. You can find the standard and the respective Annexes in the NATRUE Criteria section.
  • Get in touch with a NATRUE Approved Certifier, who will be in charge of the whole certification process. NATRUE does not certify directly. We work with a network of independent certification bodies worldwide. We believe that this ensures a greater level of transparency to our standard. We suggest you to get in touch with 2 or 3 certifiers and inquiry directly about costs and availability. Please find the list in the NAC section.

As soon as you formally enter into cooperation with a NATRUE Approved Certifier, you will need to sign and send back to NATRUE the Agreement on the Usage of the NATRUE Label, which is our contract. You can find it  below in the Downloads box.

Costs
Please do not forget to consider the costs before you start the official certification process. There are two sets of costs:

  • Certification costs: invoiced entirely by the certifier and subject to the certification body you decide to work with.
  • NATRUE label fee: 50 euros/raw material for a 2-year certificate.

ℹ️ As a non-profit association, the label fees costs are used to fund NATRUE’s activities (for example, attendance to trade shows, development of NATRUE’s Label, daily running of the association, etc.).
